The National History Museum (NHM) Director, Bozhidar Dimitrov, is convinced that the union between the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and the Ethnic Turkish party DPS is "destructive for Bulgaria".
Dimitrov announced Tuesday that he quited BSP, the Dnevnik Daily reported.
"I would run for MP only if Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov asks me to do it as GERB representative", Bozhidar Dimitrov said.
In his words, he has argued with BSP's governing council only once, over the appointment of the MP Tatyana Doncheva for Sofia Mayor.
"I have always been against the union with DPS. When the coalition was formed I published series of articles under the title "DPS Will Drag BSP to the Grave". It is clear to everybody that DPS is a party of feudal type, having non-democratic practices, and relying on a vote from servitude voters. This party is dangerous mostly for the Bulgarian Turks, because they are held in bondage. DPS endangers the still weak Bulgarian democracy by its networks of companies and "sisterly parties", and by attempts for buying votes", Dimitrov sad.
