The long-time Bulgarian journalist, businessman, and PR expert, Maxim Behar, has presented Wednesday in Sofia his book "111 Rules on Facebook".
"111 Rules on Facebook" is the world's first book ever written on Facebook, the global social network with over 200 million users.
It also represents a new unusual concept. "111 Rules on Facebook" is first written and published on-line, and then on paper.
A guest of honor at the book's presentation has been Terrence Billing, Executive Vice-President of Hill&Knowlton, Inc. - the world's largest PR corporation of which Behar's Bulgarian PR company is an associate.
The book contains 111 general rules about the business sphere and business decisions as well as about general decisions in life that have been invented, modified, or summarized by Behar, who has posted one of these rules every morning on his Facebook profile status for the last almost four months.
"I would like to thank sincerely all of my Facebook friends who liked or disliked the rules every day, argued with me fiercely, then argued among each other, and eventually something much greater than a rule was born. For me this whole process was incredibly enriching. I would sometimes make sense of my experience from many years, and would put it in one sentence", the author states in the forward of the unique book, which is published by the Bulgarian publisher "Ciela Soft & Publishing", Maxim Behar said.
The author himself started the whole thing spontaneously by posting "Rule No. 1" on his Facebook status one morning. As he saw the heated discussion that the "rule" generated among his Facebook friends, Behar continued to post one rule every single morning.
Another unique feature of the book is the fact that it is bilingual - it contains the 111 rules in both English and Bulgarian. The rules were posted on Facebook in English in their original, and were translated into Bulgarian when the idea for the book was born.
Wednesday's presentation of "111 Rules on Facebook" is has taken place at the Knigomania Bookstore in the Mall of Sofia.
