The European Parliament will vote today on a resolution on the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to Schengen.
Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Segey Stanishev, is satisfied with the results achieved so far by the governing three-way coalition.
The PM presented Wednesday a report on the achievements of the government.
In his words, this government has been led by a clear program, which has always been fulfilled, and no false promises have been given.
"I cannot say that everything is all right, and completed. I will not try to persuade you that we live better than the other Europeans. On the contrary, there is a lot more to be done, in order to achieve what we want - Bulgarians to have to quality of life they deserve. The report I am showing now, proves that Bulgaria has changed, that our country is moving forward. All changes are hard, and ours is not yet completed. In many fields, jurisdiction, fight against corruption, it takes a long time and a lot of energy to achieve a radical change. It needs efforts from both the society, and the government, and the results do not come immediately", Stanishev said.
