Jimmy Wales, founder of the most extensive online encyclopedia "Wikipedia", is going to visit Bulgaria between June 4 and 6.

Wales will open the media "Media Mix" festival, held at Bulgaria's Black Sea resort "Albena".

"Wikipedia" has over 10 million articles published in 250 languages and is edited by its own customers via free and interactive access.

"Imagine a world where each person on the planet has access to the entire human knowledge. This is what we do," Wales says.

Sofia's internet fans will be able to meet Wales in person on June 6 at the city's Modern Theater.

"Wikipedia" turned recently into the online leader, leaving behind Microsoft's "Encarta".

Wales is among the 25 most influential people in the world, according to the "Forbes" ranking while the "Times" magazine lists him among the top 100.
