Around 15 humanitarian projects will be completed by the US army in 2009 in Bulgarian districts with military bases.

The districts are Novo Selo, Bezmer, Aitos, Graf Ignatievo. This was announced Monday by LCDR Jake Daystar, Office of Defense Cooperation Deputy at the US Embassy in Bulgaria.

In those districts there are military bases used by both Bulgarian and US military forces. Around USD 10 000 will be invested in each project, and the money will come from the US European Command.

The projects include renovation or construction of kinder gardens, and public centers for elderly people rehabilitation. Different US companies will take part in the projects.
