Seven boys from a school in the Bulgarian village of Kereka have been rushed to the Dryanovo hospital with expected food poisoning.

The children are between 12 and 17 years old and have the symptoms of serious food poisoning, including vomiting, dizziness and stomach pains.

According to the Director of the Dryanovo hospital, Dr, Georgi Staikov, the boys' conditions are stabilizing and he hopes they will make a full recovery within a week.

Dryanovo regional health inspectors are preparing to visit the Kereka school, early reports suggest that the boys were poisoned by a tinned fish product, but a full check-up has not yet been done.
