Bulgarian state-owned gas monopoly Bulgargaz will not cut troubled steel mill Kremikovtzi's gas supply for another week, it emerged on Wednesday.
The announcement was made by Bulgargaz CEO, Dimitar Gogov, after being asked by Economic Minister, Petar Dimitrov, to postpone the gas shut down. Dimitrov explained that one of the probable investors had asked for more time to take its final decision for buying the steel mill. Gogov said he could not provide the company's name.
Bulgargaz intended to cut the gas supply to Kremikovtzi after it came clear Tuesday that the only left negotiating investor, the Brazilian CSN officially withdrew its interest in buying the steel factory.
