The Brazilian metallurgy giant CSN is still interested in the "Kremikovtzi" steel mill, the mill's trade unions reaffirmed.

The information was reported Monday by Union Leader, Lyudmil Pavlov.

According to Pavlov, CSN was showing strong interest in the steel mill's coking plant. The company was going to sign a contract for the chemical treatment of coal and would continue talks about eventually acquiring the mill's shares.

Brazilian steel maker CSN remains the only main bidder for the plant, but no progress in talks has been reported so far.
