Bulgarian Killed in Italy Crash

A Bulgarian national has been killed in a car crash in the district of Emilia Romagna, Italy, local media reported.

The tragic accident occurred Friday night when the Volkswagen Passat the Bulgarian was driving rammed into a truck in the opposite lane of the road. The 45-year-old man died upon impact.

The car was smashed out of recognition and rescue teams spent three hours trying to pull out the body.

It was not immediately clear what caused the traffic accident.

The Bulgarian was a truck driver and lived in the city of Gambettola.
