The small Italian town of Cadenabbia, a milestone in the history of Bulgaria's right wing, will once again see it make efforts to form a broad pre-election coalition.
The pretty, sheltered town located on the west shore of Lake Como, which witnessed the rise and fall of the country's united right wing at the end-90s, will host a three-day meeting of the leaders of Bulgaria's members in the European People's Party and the formations close to it, starting on March 14.
Representatives of Bulgaria's right-wing parties, which recently gave signs of planning to form a broad pre-election coalition at the upcoming European Parliament and general elections, will meet under the motto "Workshop of the future". It is organized by Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
The meeting is expected to make a list of the parties that will join the coalition of the two biggest right-wing parties, Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) and the United Democratic Forces (UDF). The leaderships of the two parties will sign a pre-election agreement for joint ballots at the summer elections this week.
The leaders of Sofia mayor GERB party, UDF, DSB, the Democratic Party and the United Agrarians will participate in a forum, entitled "Concepts for the future of Bulgaria as part of the European Union".
All of them are members of the European People's Party.
