People in the city of Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria, mourned on Sunday the tragic death of four local teenagers, who died in a horrific car accident Friday night.

Flags are flying at half mast throughout the city and all entertainment initiatives have been canceled on the mayor's order.

A Turkish bus overturned around 10 pm Friday night falling on a car and killing six people - two Romanian women traveling on the bus, and the four teenagers, who were in the car.

The accident happened on the main road between the cities of Sliven and Stara Zagora, near the village of Hrishteni. Local rescue units spent ten hours trying to get the six bodies out of the crashed vehicles.

The four Bulgarian teenagers were all 18-year-old seniors from the Stara Zagora Foreign Language High School "Romain Rolland". They have been identified as Plamen Todorov, Todor Chernilov, Ivan Etov, and Plamen Petrov. Just a week ago they had successfully passed an exam for obtaining a French high school diploma.
