Tariq Adil Sami, a Palestine refugee, destroyed Wednesday the computer and recording equipment of a courtroom of the Varna District Court, the Varna Court press center informed.
During court proceedings, the 23-year-old man managed to reach the Judges' bench and pulled out two of their computer monitors, smashing them against the floor.
The incident happened around 12 noon. The man, reportedly, screamed some inarticulate words, sounding like English, during the ordeal.
The Court Security acted quickly and was able to restrain the Palestinian inside the courtroom, despite his violent resistance.
In addition to the two monitors, the courtroom voice recording equipment sustained significant damage. There are no reports of injured magistrates or citizens.
Tariq Sami had not been a side in any of the cases tried Wednesday, but had spend several hours in the courtroom, observing the proceedings.
The Palestinian holds a foreign ID, issued by the State Refugee Agency at the Bulgarian Ministries Council. He is currently undergoing proceedings to be granted a temporary residency status.
The District Prosecutor has initiated preliminary legal proceedings against Tariq Sami.
