The condition of Bilyana Panyukova, the mother of the two boys who were slaughtered by their father Wednesday night, remains critical, the Sofia Institute for Emergency Medicine "Pirogov" reported for the Darik radio.

Bilyana will undergo second surgery Monday. She has 85% burns on her body and is on life-support for a fourth consecutive day.

Bilyana's father Murad Paragonov, and her aunt, Emilya Degiova, also remain in critical condition and are scheduled to undergo surgery next week.

The other two people, who were injured in the blaze, are in stable condition.

On February 4, 29-year-old Mancho Panyukov from the village of Osikovo set his father-in-law's house on fire and then slaughtered his two sons, ages 5 and 8, in front of shocked villagers. Panyukov was found hiding in a barn and was arrested the day after the murders.

The Bulgarian information agency BGNES reported Sunday that the alleged murdered has been transferred with maximum security measures from the jail in the town of Gotse Delchev to the detention center in the city of Blagoevgrad.

The prison guards, accompanying Panyukov, told the Darik radio that he had exhibited violent behavior during the transfer.

Upon arrival in Blagoevgrad, Panyukov has been examined by medical experts, who found him in excellent health. Panyukov told them he felt no pain or remorse over killing his sons and hurting his wife and relatives.

On Monday, the Blagoevgrad District Court is going to consider the Prosecutor's request to keep Panyukov under permanent detention.
