The student wannabes across Bulgaria will be given a second chance for a good performance at this year's exam session, as Sofia University announced it would hold the first ever pre-exam in Bulgarian language and literature.
The contest's date fixed is May 3, while the pre-exams in all other disciplines will be hold in April.
„The exam in Bulgarian language and Literature is the most difficult one due to the complex system of holding - the technology and the members of the exam committee will be different then the other ones," the Deputy Dean of the Slavonic Faculty, Boyko Penchev, explained.
The candidates have to submit their applications in period between March 9 and 30.
Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski" has also decided to give the student wannabes the opportunity to enter the higher school using the marks they get in the matriculations choosing between 34 specialties. Last year the youngsters were allowed to run for only 20 specialties using their final school assessments.
The fee to be charged for an exam remains unchanged - BGN 20. It is not clear yet if there will be increase in the tuition fees in the upcoming academic year.
