At least 5 000 people are expected to gather for a united protest rally before Bulgaria's Parliament at 3 pm on Wednesday.
The civil society protest is organized by organizations of college students, environmentalists, mothers, grain producers, and milk producers, who are uniting in order to advance their social demands.
After a two-day break, Wednesday's protest is the continuation of the daily protest rallies which took place between January 14 and January 19, and which were organized by the same coalition of civic organizations.
The summarized version of the demands of all protesting groups will be presented at Wednesday's rally. A week later, January 28, the protesters are going to review the government's actions on their demands, and have threatened civil disobedience and further protests should they not be met.
Much of downtown Sofia will be closed for traffic during Wednesday afternoon's rally including the Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd, the Vasil Levski Blvd, and G. S. Rakovski Street.
