The Bulgarian National Audit office has determined 174 discrepancies in property declarations of high level State functionaries, the Office Chair Valery Dimitrov reported on Friday.
The 174 violators include Members of the Parliament (MP's), three Deputy Ministers, one former Minister, 41 judges, and seven investigators, among others.
The three Deputy Ministers are: Nina Radeva, (Ministry of Energy and Economy), Yavor Miluchev, (Ministry of Culture), and Valentin Ivanov, (Ministry of Energy and Economy).
Miluchev has committed one of the most common violations by failing to declare his spouse's income; Ivanov had not declared additional busines income while Radeva failed to report a mortgage.
Former Agriculture Minister Nihat Kabil had also failed to delclare additional business income.
"Out of all 174 violations, 99 involve omissions related to property, company shares, spouse's income," the National Audit Office Chair explained.
Violators with similar omissions include the Mayor of the city of Sliven Iordan Lechkov, the Chair of the Parliamentary Group of the National Movement for for Stability and Progress Plamen Mollov, the MP from the Coalition for Bulgaria Mladen Chervenyakov.
The audit has included a total of 10,500 individuals. Compared to the previous year there have been less violations despite the larger number of those audited.
