The central heating price in Sofia rises by 18,79 percent on January 1, Bulgaria's utilities regulator DKEVR have announced.
In the coastal city of Varna the price will be 15.54 percent higher, while in Plovdiv the central heating will cost 17. 37 % more.
The rise is motivated by the price of natural gas, which will be 14.11 percent higher from January 1.
Bulgaria's gas monopoly Bulgargaz had previously demanded a rise of 21,31 percent but DKEVR did not allow it.
